Kristen Hraba Phillips, Operations/Financial
Kristen Hraba Phillips was introduced to the hotel industry at an early age and has continued to build upon this foundation in her 20 years working in the industry. Prior to joining Waterford Hotels and Inns, her experience included operational responsibilities with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Westin Hotels, as well as hotel consulting with PKF Consulting. Kristen’s current areas of responsibility include budgets, forecasting, and hotel operations. She has experience, interest and knowledge in technology and brings an exciting energy and focus to Waterford Hotels & Inns, Inc. Starting in the Management Training program in 1994 with Hyatt Hotel Corporation, Kristen experienced all facets of hotel operations. During her three years with Hyatt she was continually promoted holding room division managerial positions in guest services, housekeeping, front desk, and reservations.
At the time of her departure from Hyatt, Kristen was Reservation Manager for the 805-room Hyatt Regency San Francisco. She left to join the historic Westin St Francis Hotel in San Francisco, where she created and defined a new position in Revenue Management. Kristen was then recruited by PKF Consulting, an international real estate consulting firm specializing in the hotel industry. She joined the San Francisco office, home of the firm’s world headquarters, and worked on market studies, valuations, and appraisals of various hotel, resort, and vacation ownership projects throughout the United States. After two years with PKF, Kristen joined Waterford Hotels and Inns in May 2000. Her knowledge of hotel operations and development is an important component of the services offered by Waterford Hotels and Inns. Kristen, raised in California, graduated in 1994 from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. Kristen remains active in her community, schools and the hospitality industry.
