Mary MacLeod, Controller : Associate
Mary MacLeod has been involved in accounting, reporting and financial management for over 30 years with experience in hotel and restaurant, real estate and banking industries. Her responsibilities have included accounting systems, auditing, budgeting and financial reporting.
Mary was a partner with Conley & MacLeod for 2 ½ years before developing her own firm in 2004. Prior to this, Mary was with Shorenstein Realty Services responsible for financial reporting, accounting and controls related to development, construction and management of eight class-A office buildings throughout the U.S. Mary also spent seven years at Bank of America with financial management and accounting responsibilities in the special asset group and with regulatory and management reporting responsibilities for the Bank of America Federal Savings Bank. Mary spent eight years with Equitec, a real estate syndicator, as Partnership Controller and also spent 2 ½ years with Amfac Hotels first as an auditor and then as an accounting and payroll manager.
Mary has been associated with Waterford Hotels & Inns since 2001. Mary works effectively with hotel managers and business owners to identify cost-saving procedures and streamline processes.
Mary grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. Mary served on the St. Mary’s Alumni Board for 4 years, is active in local schools and philanthropic events and has served on various boards.
