Patricia E. Hraba, Vice President
Patricia Hraba co-founded Waterford Hotels and Inns in 1985. She currently serves as Vice President, overseeing finance, accounting, and administrative services. As a partner in Waterford Hotels and Inns, Inc., she has been involved in the management of several award-winning hotels in the Bay Area, and participates as a general partner and owner in several West Coast hotel properties. Patricia started her career over thirty years ago with Hyatt Hotel Corporation in Seattle, Washington. She piloted and co-created a program that developed into the Guest Services and Concierge Department, now a standard in most Hyatt Hotels worldwide. She also established a program for Hyatt Corporation that tracked VIP and return guests, which became the foundation for Hyatt’s guest history program.
In addition to her hotel experience, Patricia attended the Protocol School of Washington, the industry leader in business etiquette and protocol services. As a certified consultant she provides educational courses to the hospitality and business communities, and volunteers her services to local organizations. Patricia also worked in public relations for the former Monterey Peninsula magazine, California Life, and served as freelance photographer while living in Chicago. Patricia is a native of Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a strong supporter of community involvement. She co-chaired an event raising over $200,000 for the Family Service Agency of San Mateo County, received a Lifetime Award of Recognition from the San Mateo County School District, having served as president and chairman of various boards and committees. She was most recently on the Advisory Board for the Oregon State University Austin Family Business Program, is a charter member of the OSU Women’s Philanthropic Circle, and is a member of the California Hotel Association.
